Thank you for the opportunity to serve you and the people of District C on the Houston City Council.

Since I was sworn in, I have thoroughly enjoyed working hard for you as a full-time Council Member, fighting for our neighborhoods and fundamental principles of open governance.

Over the last twenty-one months, my office and I have worked hard to reduce crime and improve the quality of life in Southwest Houston, to bring our citizens the kind of responsive, proactive service they deserve, and for two years in a row, we have lowered the City of Houston tax rate. I am proud to have authored and passed amendments to the city budget each year for the past 2 budget cycles that will increase the number of police cadet classes in our City.

The work has been exhilarating and it is hard to believe we are again in an election year. Early Voting begins October 22 and runs through November 2, 2007. Election Day is Tuesday, November 6^th.The tab on the left of the screen will direct you to voting locations.
